Why is dental health month important?

Over 80% of dogs and cats over the age of three have some form of dental disease.

Dental disease can cause your pet pain, tooth and bone loss, and do damage to their major organs, including heart, liver and kidneys.
This promotion is a great way for Fairview Animal Hospital to give back to our patients and help them keep their mouths healthy.

Not sure if your pet has dental disease? Flip the lip, we dare you! Your pet’s teeth should be pearly white. Any brown discoloration is an accumulation of bacteria and plaque that will lead to further disease if not removed by a professional dental cleaning. If your pet’s breath stinks, it’s most likely from the bacteria build up.

At Fairview Animal Hospital we recommend one dental treat a day to keep dental disease away. Dental treats should be used to help prevent dental disease and increase the time in between dental cleanings. They are not effective at treating dental disease.

The purchase of any of these products will qualify you to be entered into the drawing for a $100 credit to your account:

  • CET Toothpaste
  • CET VeggieDent Chews
