Welcome to our low stress hospital!. What does this mean for you and your pet?

We are dedicated to removing anxiety triggers and creating a stress-free environment for pets.  As a result, pets that have previously shown signs of anxiety, stress and/or fear are now demonstrating noticeably positive changes in behavior.  For more information about the things we do to make your pet’s visit low stress, please click here.

When you arrive for your appointment, you and your pet will be greeted by our friendly Client Care Team. For kitties, to help ease anxiety, we will place a pheromone scented towel over your baby’s carrier. We will take you both into an exam room right away to avoid prolonged contact with any dogs in the lobby.  (If your kitty is particularly anxious, let us know ahead of time and we can bypass the lobby entirely and bring you and your kitty into an Exam Room from one of the exterior doors.  We can check you in and out from the room and you can leave the same way, never going through the lobby.) For pups, we will get some information from you, weigh your pet and then take you into an Exam Room.

Once there, you will wait briefly for someone from our Medical Care Team who will ask questions about your pet’s medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering important information for the doctor.

Then, one of our veterinarians will examine your pet, ask you further questions and may recommend diagnostic tests if needed. Once the tests have been run, which can usually be done in the practice, your doctor will discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment plan, if warranted.

Feel free to ask questions at ANY time! Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.

Your Medical Care Team member will likely come back to wrap things up and will provide you with helpful pet care information and answer wellness and care questions for you. Our Client Care Team will process your payment and schedule any needed follow up.

Please note: We value your time as much as you do! Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and, although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. If things are running behind, we will let you know and offer you options.
